Jenny, who owned Prism-Perfect.net, FanUpdate, as well as other scripts seems to have left the Web for Facebook.
I'm not really interested in looking into Facebook stuff, so I'd like to know what's happened to Jenny and whether or not we can still use FanUpdate or her other scripts. I was thinking of using MediaShelf, as well as recommending FanUpdate to a couple of people. -------------------- un-ordinary network - agmyst studio - free images for web graphics

I'm wondering when she's going to be back as well, as I'm looking for Codesort.

Add me to the list of people concerned about Jenny's switch to Facebook and what will happen to FanUpdate & CodeSort. I'm not into Facebook either, and it doesn't seem to be the sort of place for script distribution and discussion (though I could be wrong).
Anyway, I have copies of CodeSort 2 and FanUpdate 2.2.1. Thankfully, both were released under the GNU General Public License: QUOTE *This program is free software; you can redistribute it and/or * modify it under the terms of the GNU General Public License * as published by the Free Software Foundation; either version 2 * of the License, or (at your option) any later version. * * This program is distributed in the hope that it will be useful, * but WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY; without even the implied warranty of * MERCHANTABILITY or FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. See the * GNU General Public License for more details: * http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl.html Last time I checked, she had a note at Prism-Perfect stating that MediaShelf was no longer being developed, but was still available for download. Though I also have a copy, it wasn't released under the GPL; the README clearly states, "Users may not sell or redistribute any part of this script without written permission." Even if she no longer wants to continue on with any of the scripts, I hope she'll keep them available somewhere... Meanwhile, it looks like it's safe for me to send copies of CodeSort & FanUpdate to those who are interested. -------------------- |

Here, I put together a clear list of everyone who wants the programs. If you don't have time to send the programs to all of us you could just send them to me. Then I'll send the programs to everyone else.
FanUpdate: anouskarood[at]gmail[dot]com kakashiouka at gmail.com godsong at rhythmic-high.net ashleypoetic[at]yahoo[dot]com CodeSort: kakashiouka at gmail.com ashleypoetic[at]yahoo[dot]com |

I forgot to specify in my post. |

Glad I checked this thread — I should've known at least a few people would want these scripts!
@SuicidalPaper: Thanks for the list! I'll get the files sent as soon as possible. Also, I think I'll setup a semi-permanent download location for them. I'll keep everyone posted. -------------------- |

Apologies for the long delay, especially to those who e-mailed and IM'd me looking for these scripts!
For now* you can grab Codesort 2 and FanUpdate 2.2.1 just by clicking the links * I say "for now" because I'd like to add a download counter and therefore the links may change in the future. Don't worry, though, I'll post if and when they do This post has been edited by echolalia: May 18 2009, 11:57 AM -------------------- |
